Our Academics/Curriculum
Our academics is Christ-centered and above average. As such, our curriculum is child-centered and fosters Christian-based principles and life-long learners. Thus, we utilize a combination of the ABEKA and Creative Curriculum in our infants, toddlers, and preschool classrooms. In our Pre-K classrooms, we use Hi Scope, a learning focused curriculum that enforces academics and social emotional development. In addition to our regular curriculum, Bethesda Christian Academy has the LITTLE GRANT PROGRAM that provides lots of language and literacy activities that focuses on improving literacy skills in young students.
Infant

Our beautiful and brightly lit Ingenuous Infant classroom is adorned with rattles, spinners, stackers, books, soft toys, and the like. Tummy time, music/movement are the highlight of our day! The ambiance invites infants to explore and discover a world within their reach.
Pre-Schoolers
Our Precocious Preschoolers are an amazing group. They are extremely excited about learning and come to school everyday with smiles on their faces. In our preschool classroom, students learn their letters/sounds, rhyming words, letter recognition, number recognition, counting, classification, shapes, music, dance, and a host of other intriguing lessons. They are taught to explore, read, write, participate in group activities, and simply enjoy the learning process.
Young Toddler
Our fascinating, Terrific Young Toddler classroom is as unique as the toddlers that dwell within. We offer our students a sense of self as we provide optimal learning experiences, develop positive self-esteem, and a sense of belonging. We learn body parts, nursery rhymes, music, dance, and read lots of books. Here, cognitive, language/literacy, physical development, emotional, math, and social development is greatly encouraged.
Pre-K
Our Proficient Pre-K students are top notch. Our program prepares them for elementary school and fosters optimal learning. They come ready to learn everyday. They elaborate on skills they learned in the preschool class. Their curiosity allows them to explore without bounds. New friendships and relationships develop in Pre-K. Here, students are taught to read, write, do math, social studies, science, etc. Most importantly, they finally learn to share!
Older Toddler
In our Tremendously, busy, Older Toddler classroom, letters/sounds, numeracy, exploration, vocabulary development is at the forefront. Here, our students learn to count, interact positively in groups, explore their environment as they develop their own personalities and self-awareness. Age appropriate toys and activities, dance, and music are used to cultivate our students young minds.
After School
Our Before/Aftercare Program is a fun-filled, exciting program that allows students to be themselves as they unwind from a hectic day at school. They are provided homework help, music/dance activities, arts/crafts, positive group and team building activities. They also have an opportunity to participate in additional extra curricular activities.
